Day 1: Delhi to Amritsar – Golden Temple & Local Sightseeing

Begin your journey from Delhi in the morning. Meet your driver at the agreed pickup point and start your drive towards Amritsar. Enjoy the scenic journey through the northern plains and Punjab countryside.

On arrival in Amritsar, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax.

Later, visit the magnificent Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib. Spend peaceful time around the sacred Sarovar and explore the temple complex. You can also experience the community Langar, which represents the Sikh values of service and equality.

After the Golden Temple visit, walk through the nearby Heritage Street and explore the surrounding local markets.

Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Overnight Stay: Amritsar

Day 2: Jallianwala Bagh – Partition Museum – Wagah Border

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel.

Visit Jallianwala Bagh, one of the most important historical sites in Amritsar. The memorial preserves important reminders of the tragic events of April 13, 1919, including preserved bullet marks and the historic well.

Continue to the Partition Museum, located near the Golden Temple. Explore galleries containing photographs, documents, personal belongings, and stories connected with the Partition of India. The museum is currently listed as open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays and specified public holidays, so check the latest schedule before your visit.

After lunch, drive towards the Attari-Wagah Border.

Arrive in time for the famous Beating Retreat ceremony. The ceremony features coordinated military drills and the lowering of the national flags on the India-Pakistan border.

Return to Amritsar after the ceremony.

Day 3: Durgiana Temple – Amritsar Local Sightseeing – Delhi Departure

Begin the day with a visit to Durgiana Temple, an important Hindu temple in Amritsar known for its peaceful atmosphere and traditional architecture.
